I have been trained in a number of evidence based treatments including but not limited to: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and traditional talk therapy. I incorporate these treatments and tailor my approach based on your needs. Video sessions are weekly or bi-weekly.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that helps people heal from distressing events and life experiences. EMDR can help you find more adaptable and functional behaviors. Distressing events can get locked in the brain with the sights, sounds, smells, and feelings. This type of therapy can help you digest the events, like you do with a heavy meal. So that you can feel relief from the discomfort.

Still confused about how this works? Don’t worry, I’ll go over it in your sessions. You are in total control and if you don’t want to continue using EMDR we can stop and use CBT (as described below).
